Newly planted orange trees grown in desert locations require watering every three days for two weeks. In springtime through summer, water the tree every week to two weeks and in winter water the tree monthly. Water container-grown orange trees one to two times each week. Allow the water to run over the area for approximately 30 minutes for a thorough watering.
