Are Fruit Trees Deciduous?

Deciduous trees lose their leaves in the winter and go dormant during the cooler months. Many fruit trees are deciduous trees like apples, peaches, plums, nectarines and apricots. Most deciduous fruit trees require a number of chilling hours in order to produce fruit.
