Seedlings should be moved outdoors after the threat of frost has passed. First, move tender seedlings into shade for a day, putting them back inside before night. Over a week or more period, bring them outdoors into increasing sunlight for the day and finally keep out overnight to "harden them off." Check with your local cooperative extension office for frost dates for your growing zone.
