When to Plant Fescue & Crabgrass in Nebraska

Seed the soil from April 15 to June 15 or Aug. 20 until Sept. 20. This allows the seeds to form sprouts and a root system before the summer heat can damage the tender roots or frost from the winter can freeze the roots, killing the plant entirely.
