Can I Apply Fertilizer to a Newly Planted Fescue Lawn?

A newly planted fescue lawn will need to be fertilized one month after planting with half the rate of normal fertilizing, or 1/2 pound nitrogen per 1,000 square feet. Water the lawn thoroughly after applying fertilizer to work it into the soil.
