Can Roses Climbing on a Pressure Treated Wood Fence Be Harmful?

The name "climbing" rose can be misleading since they can't climb at all. Climbing roses are simply long canes that are best supported being tied or trained through a support system. Since climbing roses can't adhere to any surface, there is no danger in their exposure to pressure-treated wood, other than the possibility of their weight being too heavy for the structure.
