Daylilies can thrive in acidic soil as long as it is not extremely acidic. Soil pH levels need to range from 6.0 to 6.5. Light sand to thick clay soil is fine, providing it has been well tilled. Daylilies need at least 6 to 8 hours of full sun per day.
