Beans are warm season crops and depend on warm temperatures to grow. Bean seeds germinate when temperatures are above 50 degrees Fahrenheit. Bean plants require temperatures between 65 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit to grow. Fava beans require cooler temperatures between 60 and 65 degrees Fahrenheit.
