Should You Remove Fruit to Increase the Yield for a Pomegranate?

Removing pomegranates does not increase the fruit's yield. To increase pomegranate fruit production, prune the plant down to 1 foot when it is 2 feet high. Prune the branches during the first 3 years of the plant's life to increase the amount of suckers, which will increase fruit production.
