Can Sequoia Trees Grow in Vermont?

Giant sequoia (Sequoiadendron giganteum) is hardy in USDA zone 7 while redwood sequoia is hardy in zone 8. Vermont, hardiness zone 3b to 5b, is not suitable for growing sequoia trees.
