How Many Plants in 2.5 Pounds of Seed Potatoes?

Cut into 1-1/2 oz. pieces, 2.5 lbs. of seed potatoes yield approximately 25 to 27 plants. Larger 2 oz. pieces will yield approximately 20 plants. Cut the pieces so that each piece has at least one eye and plant them approximately 9 to 12 inches apart in the row.
