Can I Plant Flowers Directly in a Wooden Box?

A wooden box is a good container for flowers. Make sure the box has holes on the bottom for drainage. Drainage holes allow excess water to run freely from the planter. Planting flowers directly in a wooden box will gradually degrade untreated wood over time with exposure to soil and moisture.
