Can Squash Seeds Be Planted in Rows or Hills?

Squash seeds can be planted in rows of approximately three seeds every 2 to 3 feet or in hills of four to five seeds, spaced 4 feet apart. Thin after germination to one plant every 2 to 3 feet of row or two to three plants per hill.
