The Japanese maple (Acer palmatum) Burgundy Lace cultivar is a multi-trunked, 12-foot high and wide tree with striking, deeply cut reddish-purple foliage. It needs moist, fertile soil and partial sun to partial shade. Plants in full sun may suffer leaf scorch where summers are hot.
