Can You Grow Fruit From Jalapeno Seeds?

Jalapenos grow from the seeds of fully ripe fresh jalapeno peppers. Choose a ripe mother pepper that is beginning to wrinkle to ensure viable seed. Harvest the seeds from the jalapeno and spread them on a paper towel to dry. Seeds from pickled or cooked peppers will not grow.
