Can Venus Fly Traps Eat Raw Meat?

Venus flytraps need living or frozen insects and caterpillars, cut to one-third the size of its leaves and given four times per year. When the plants become dormant in winter, they don't need any food. Crickets, spiders and flies are all acceptable nutrition for these plants.
