Planting dates in North Central Texas depend on the crop grown and the season. Spring planting dates begin in February for cool crops (rutabaga, beets, carrots) and in March to May for warm season vegetables like tomatoes. Fall planting dates begin as early as mid-June and extend to Nov. 1 (radishes, garlic).
