When Is The Best Time to Plant Bermuda Grass Seed in South Carolina?

Bermuda grass, a warm-season turfgrass, should be planted in South Carolina from March through May. Clemson University extension advises seeding hulled Bermuda grass at a rate of 1 to 2 lbs. per 1,000 square feet and to avoid renovating hybrid Bermuda grass lawns with common Bermuda grass seed.
