Aloe grows outside in USDA plant hardiness zones 9 to 11. The minimum annual temperature in zone 9 is between 20 and 25 degrees Fahrenheit. Plant aloe outside if you live in an area where the winter temperatures do not drop below 20 degrees. See the USDA planting zone map in the resource section to determine your planting zone.
