Braided pachiras (Pachira aquatica) should be grown indoors only in areas where temperatures drop below freezing. They are tropical plants that cannot survive frost. If you live above USDA Zone 10, you can place your braided pachira outside during the summer, but bring it in before the first frost occurs.
