How Old Is the Almond Tree Before It Starts Producing a Crop?

Almond trees can grow to 15 feet tall and produce ample amounts of thick-shelled nuts. The tree has beautiful spring blossoms that contain almond nuts when petals fall off. The tree is not self-pollinating, therefore it needs to be exposed to another almond tree and will be able to produce a harvest in three to five years.
