Sunflowers are easy to grow from seed. To speed up the germination process, place the seeds in a damp paper towel. Do not soak the paper towel with water or submerge the seeds in water. Too much water will cause them to die before they can germinate. Once the seeds germinate, immediately plant them outdoors.
