What Zone Is Oklahoma in Planting Roses?

The USDA Plant Hardiness Zone map indicates that the northern one-third of the state of Oklahoma is in zone 6 and the southern two-thirds is in zone 7. When purchasing roses, these zones should be take into consideration, as some varieties of roses are not hardy enough to survive in zone 6.
