How to Make Italian Table Centerpieces

Whether you're celebrating your culture or simply hosting a traditional Italian dinner, presenting a decorative centerpiece adds to the experience. Making an Italian-themed table centerpiece accents your dinner table and creates feelings of the romance of Italy during the meal.

Step 1

Place the olive branch diagonally across the center of the wooden serving tray. The olive branch is a traditional symbol in Italian tradition.

Step 2

Place the three red roses in various spots in the foliage of the olive branch.

Step 3

Insert the white carnations in the same manner as the roses. Put each carnation near a rose, inserting the stems into the foliage of the olive branch. Added to the roses and the green foliage of the olive branch, the white carnations complete a color scheme reminiscent of the Italian flag, which is red, white and green.

Step 4

Surround the olive branch and flowers with the fresh rosemary sprigs. This adds a new shade of green to the foliage of the centerpiece while providing the aroma of the traditional Italian herb.

Step 5

Place a pillar candle on the wooden tray at either side of the olive branch. When they are lit, the lights cast a romantic glow around the colorful centerpiece. Place the tray in the center of the dining table for an attractive Italian dinner spread.
