Christmas Pea Salad


Pea salads are a popular side dish for family Christmas meals. Christmas Pea Salad has an earthy yet tangy flavor with hints of traditional festive spices. This flavorful salad is sure to be a hit at any holiday celebration, whether it's Christmas or the Fourth of July.

Step 1

Let package of frozen peas thaw at room temperature until they are soft, usually 30 to 45 minutes.

Step 2

Combine the thawed peas, fresh snow peas, chopped red onion and roasted red peppers in a salad bowl. Toss the ingredients to thoroughly mix them.

Step 3

Combine mayonnaise, sour cream, white vinegar, chopped peppermint and freshly ground nutmeg to a separate bowl. Stir the ingredients.

Step 4

Taste the dressing. Add salt and pepper to your liking.

Step 5

Pour the dressing over the vegetables in the salad bowl. Stir the salad to incorporate the dressing. This recipe serves eight.
