How to Make Nontoxic Weed Killer

Overview

There are a variety of herbicides on the market that will take care of any weeds you have on your property. The problem with these herbicides is that they contain harsh chemicals that can cause skin irritation, respiratory problems, and even blindness if it gets in your eye. You don't have to risk your health to get rid of those pesky weeds. You can use a nontoxic home remedy that will work just as well as those store-bought chemicals.

Step 1

Bring 1/2 gallon of water to a boil.

Step 2

Add 2/3 cup of distilled vinegar, and 1/4 cup of salt to the boiling water.

Step 3

Stir the ingredients until the salt is dissolved, and remove them from the heat.

Step 4

Transfer the homemade weed killer from the pot in to a watering can while it is still hot.

Step 5

Pour the homemade weed killer over the weeds.
