Toro zero turn mowers are available in the TimeCutter and Titan series. Both of these offer various models with differing features and blade lengths. Turning with a 0 degree radius, the zero turn mower helps homeowners mow around landscaped portions of their yard, reducing the time spent mowing. Performing routine maintenance on the mower retains the value and keeps the mower running for years to come. Toro recommends inspecting the blades of the mower before each use and sharpening them once per mowing season.
Park the mower on a level surface. Disengage the blades of the mower with the blade control switch. Most models are equipped with this feature. Check your owner's manual for the location of the blade control switch. Position the motion control levers to the "Park" position by pushing them outward from the mower. Remove the key from the mower.
Disconnect the spark plug wire from the spark plug. Grip the end of the wire with a gloved hand and firmly pull until it disengages from the spark plug. Move the blade height adjustment to its highest setting.
Hold the blade end firmly with a gloved hand. Remove the blade bolt from the underside of the blade, using a wrench. Turn the blade bolt clockwise until it is loose enough to remove by hand. Remove the curved washer, located behind the bolt. Slide the blade stiffener away from the blade. Lower the blade off of the spindle shaft. The blade is ready to be sharpened or replaced.
