A flower planter adds a new dimension to garden landscaping. In areas where soil diseases prevent gardeners from enjoying certain crops, such as strawberries, the flower planter provides fresh, disease-free soil and a hanging environment for the plants. Properly hanging a flower planter ensures that it will hold up against most typical weather conditions.
Determine the general location for the flower planter and run a stud finder around the area until you locate a stud. Mark the stud with a pencil.
Drill a hole with a power drill and a drill bit one size smaller than the threads on the hanging hook.
Screw the hanging hook into place.
Hang the flower planter on the hook.
