Spruce up your butter... try these fun and tasty recipes - make great gifts too by placing into a canning jar and covering the lid - add a bow and you have a great gift.

Sweet Butters
Slather it on warm pancakes and waffles.  Serve them with or without syrup.  put on hot breakfast muffins, biscuits, and other quick breads.  Spread on bread slices and quickly broil in the oven for toast.  Put on warm flour tortillas, roll up and enjoy for breakfast or dessert.

Savory Butters
Dollop on hot baked potatoes.  Put a pat on hot-off-the-grill fish, steak or chicken.  Spread on corn muffins or cornbread, rolls, biscuits or French bread.  Use on corn on the cob.

Orange Butter - Sweet Butter
1 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 (10-ounce) jar orange marmalade
Combine both ingredients and beat at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy.  Cover and refrigerate.  Makes about 2 cups. 

Cinnamon Butter - Sweet Butter
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
1-1/2 tablespoons maple syrup
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Combine all ingredients; beat at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy.  Cover and refrigerate.  Makes about 1/2 cup.

Southwestern Butter - Savory Butter
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
2 teaspoons grated lime rind
1/4 teaspoon chili powder
1/8 teaspoon ground cumin
Combine all ingredients; beat at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy.  Cover and refrigerate.  Makes about 1/2 cup.
