How to Set Up a Bamboo Water Fountain in a Flower Bed

Asian-inspired bamboo water fountains add a touch of exotic allure to your flower beds. Setting up a bamboo water fountain in your flower beds proves to be an easy-to-achieve process due to the availability of commercial water fountains. In under two hours your flower bed can feature the relaxing trickle of water from a decorative bamboo face, adding moisture to your flowers' environment and beauty to yours.

Step 1

Obtain a large upright bamboo fountain from a trusted retailer or online merchant.

Step 2

Measure a spot in your garden that matches the exact dimensions of the base of the bamboo fountain. Make sure the spot has access to an outdoor electrical outlet to power the fountain.

Step 3

Clear the grass, weeds or garden plants from the area in which you measured. This is where the fountain will sit.

Step 4

Place the bamboo fountain directly onto the soil of the flower bed. Arrange it so the dry side is facing your home and the fountain side is facing outward.

Step 5

Plug the fountain into in. Conceal the cord with garden plants.

Step 6

Pour up to 5 gallons of water (depending on the size of your fountain) into the fountain's reservoir. The plugged-in bamboo water fountain has a pump that will allow the fountain to function.
