How to Decorate With a Grapevine Garland

Grapevines provide your garden environment with lush green and beautiful foliage, but they also add beauty to your home environment. Making a garland out of grapevine and hanging it in your home to decorate it provides you with an easy way to add attractive accents to your surroundings. Materials are basic and the time needed to complete and hang the garland leaves you plenty of time to enjoy other activities.

Step 1

Wrap one end of the pipe cleaner around one end of the grapevine.

Step 2

Form a hook shape with the excess pipe cleaner.

Step 3

Hang the pipe cleaner, with the grapevine attached to the end, from the outer rim of the vase. The grapevine will dangle down the outside of the vase.

Step 4

Wrap the grapevine around the vase from the top. Tuck the bottom tip of the grapevine slightly beneath the vase.

Step 5

Arrange the grapevine-wrapped vase into a corner of your sitting room or outdoors on a patio or other decorative area. Make sure to arrange the leaves to conceal the pipe cleaner keeping the vine in place.

Things You'll Need

  • Length of grapevine (about 3 feet)
  • Pipe cleaner
  • Tall (floor) vase
