Flowers of all colors, shapes, sizes and textures provide beauty and vegetation to your garden and landscape. They also beautify your home environment and make for aromatic additions to your surroundings. Using the flowers once they have dried in decorative crafts, such as heartfelt gift packages, allows for you to make use of the flowers while giving gifts to your friends and loved ones. A few basic materials and your choice of dried flowers make it easy to decorate your gift packages.
Decorating a Gift Package
Place the pre-wrapped gift box in front of you on a clean, protected work surface.
Snip the buds of the dried flowers, carefully, from the stems. Do this with approximately one handful of dried flowers.
Spray adhesive craft spray over a 2 inch by 2 inch area near the center of the top of the gift box.
Drop the handful of loose flower buds over the sticky area. Make sure the flowers are all touching the adhesive on the box and allow for about an hour before giving the box to the recipient, so as to allow the flowers to dry.
Adding a Decorative Notecard
Cut out a 3 inch by 3 inch square from the sheet of parchment paper.
Cut a 6 inch length from your choice of ribbon roll. Choose a ribbon that correlates with the theme of your gift basket or gift package.
Tie the ribbon into a simple bow.
Write out a personal and brief message on the small parchment card.
Spray the craft adhesive to the top of the gift package or basket. Adhere the card to the glued spot. Follow up by adhering the bow to one side of the card, and then adhering three or four dried flower blossoms to the other side of the card.
