Homemade Garden Fertilizer

Overview

Fertilizers are any ingredients that enrich the soil and help vegetation to grow. Fertilizers don't have to be purchased chemicals. You probably already have everything you need to make homemade fertilizer for your garden. By following a simple recipe, your garden will flourish.

Fertilizer Tea

Step 1

Rake up fallen oak leaves. If you don't have oak trees, ask a neighbor if you can rake theirs.

Step 2

Fill up a large bucket one-third full of oak leaves.

Step 3

Add water until it reaches 1 inch from the top of the bucket.

Step 4

Stir the ingredients, and then let it sit in direct sunlight for seven days.

Step 5

Remove the leaves from the bucket. Pour the liquid in your garden as fertilizer.

Fertilizer Coffee

Step 1

Pour 1 cup of leftover coffee in a watering can.

Step 2

Add 4 cups of water.

Step 3

Disperse throughout the garden to fertilize the soil.
