How to Make Liquid Lawn Fertilizer

Fertilizing your lawn will help it remain healthy and a beautiful shade of green. You can spend money on lawn fertilizers, but it really isn't necessary. Store-bought fertilizers contain harsh chemicals that aren't very safe to use around children and pets. You should have all of the ingredients you need to make a liquid fertilizer for your lawn at home.

Step 1

Pour your beer and apple juice into the gallon bucket.

Step 2

Add ammonia and mix together the three ingredients.

Step 3

Pour in your liquid dish detergent and liquid lawn fertilizer. Once again, you'll need to mix the ingredients.

Step 4

Add your final ingredient, the molasses. Stir until well combined.

Step 5

Transfer your homemade liquid fertilizer to hose sprayer. Spray across your lawn, sweeping from the left to the right. Staying in a pattern will make sure you don't miss any spots. This concentrate will last through 50 gallons of water from your hose.
