How to Get Rid of House Plant Bugs

Overview

Plants are a great addition to any indoor room. You may think these plants are safe from bugs, since most bugs are found outdoors. Unfortunately, indoor plants are just as susceptible to becoming infested with bugs. If you prefer, make your own insecticide to get rid of house plant bugs. This way you are not using any harsh chemical inside of your home where your pets and children play.

Step 1

Pour the water into an empty spray bottle.

Step 2

Add the liquid dish soap to your water.

Step 3

Place the rubbing alcohol in the spray bottle and screw the lid on it.

Step 4

Spray your indoor houseplants with this homemade insecticide. It will kill any bugs that are on the plants. You can also spray your plants with this solution once per week to keep bugs from infesting your plants in the future.

Things You'll Need

  • 1 pint water
  • Empty spray bottle
  • 1 tbsp. liquid dish soap
