The Best Sources for Heirloom Seeds

Heirloom seeds are seeds of plants that have been passed down through the years. Heirloom seeds are produced from open-pollinated plants. "Open-pollinated" means the seeds are developed in the field through the normal pollination process and not in a laboratory or under specialized conditions. Important characteristics, such as taste or smell, are preserved as heirloom seeds are passed down through generations.
