Bermuda grass is a common lawn turf in the southern United States. Bermuda grass is a warm-season grass, which means it grows best when the soil temperature is consistently above 65 degrees F. Bermuda grass seed may be purchased at a garden center or ordered online. Sometimes you can receive great deals online, since online retailers purchase Bermuda grass seed in bulk and they don't prepackage it into individual bags like inventory at a garden center.
Calculate the square footage of your yard. Multiply the length of your yard by the width to calculate the square footage. For example, a yard that is 50 feet wide by 40 feet long is 2,000 square feet.
Calculate how many pounds of Bermuda grass seed is needed to seed your lawn. You need 2 to 3 pounds of Bermuda grass seed per 1,000 square feet.
Purchase your Bermuda grass seed from a garden center or order online. To order online, you will need a credit card. The seed will ship to you via UPS, FedEx or USPS.
