The linear leaves on Chadds Ford orchids grow 2 to 10 inches long. Chadds Ford orchids grow 1 to 3 feet tall and wide and require full sun to part shade to thrive. A moisture-loving orchid, Chadds Ford grows in a wide range of soil varieties and climates, including dry shade to wet and full sun spots. Chadds Ford orchids typically double in size every year and require a 1 to 2 inch layer of mulch around the base of the plant. They grow best in zones 4 through 8.
